Abdominal Exercise Machines Will Get the Job Done

Most important is to know why you are trying to improve your abdominals. Are you trying to lose those love handles, or that extra belly fat from to much fast food? If so you need to understand that abdominal exercise will improve the tone and shape your muscles, not reduce your belly fat.


Fat loss is a systemic process…there is no such thing as ‘spot’ reducing. Exercise will help you to lose excess fat, but the fat will come off from the entire body, not just where you are doing the exercise.

Someone posted this and half the people got, I was part of the half that didn’t. I asked him to explain it but he didn’t. Some people thought it was hilarious, can anyone possibly explain this to me? I didn’t think I was THAT stupid, you know? icon wink What the heck does this mean??

“Observations about Exercise?
I have a “shoulder impingement” and getting physical therapy for
that. The therapist gave me exercises, too.

“Have you been doing the exercises?” he asks.

“Yes. Religiously. Every time I start a set I start with ‘Oh God!’”

Then they tried electrical stimulation of the shoulder. I think its
called a tens unit. So she puts the patches on, starts the machine and
asks me to tell her when I feel a tingle. Just as that starts I say
“OK. I can feel it. Say, is this going to interfere with my
pacemaker?” [Note: I don't have a pacemaker] Well, its only fair.
She stimulated blood flow to my shoulder, and I stimulated blood flow to
her heart.”
