6 All-around Exercise Choices

Of course, everybody wants to be shapely like most Hollywood stars. It doesn’t take a genius to be able to achieve such a dream. It takes discipline and consistency.

In realizing a healthy body, one must carry on a program that combines cardiovascular, strength and resistance trainings together. You don’t merely aim attention on pure cardio, say treadmill run or aerobic session. Every workout session commences with warming up and culminates with cooling down. But wait, halt for a moment and ask yourself this:

Can my body sustain the strenuousness of high impact workout routines? Try these 6 All-Around exercise choices to so you can say YES and prepare your muscle groups for more intense routines.

1.Back Exercises. In strengthening your back, you can do the stiff arm pull downs which targets both arms and back. You can also do the seated lat rowing wherein the broad triangular muscles of your back are strengthened. Another choice is the shoulder blade retraction routine that aims largely on training your shoulders.

2.Leg Exercises. You can strengthen your leg in many ways. One is doing leg curls as you lie flat on the floor. Another is leg kickback usually executed in aerobic sessions. Other choices are ankle inverting, hip flexing and abducing, and seated calf lift.

3.Chest Exercises. To broaden and firm your chest, you can do bench press. It’s the most popular among men and women. Another routine is the incline bench which still utilizes a bench and a pair of dumbbells to achieve results. You can also execute shoulder pullovers as you lie flat on an exercise mat.

4.Abdominal Exercises. There are many ways to tighten your abs and eliminate those flabby parts. One is by doing 100 crunches in varying positions. You can also use a stick that you can hold on to as you tilt your upper body to the sides, back and front. Make 100 counts of this if you prefer it better than crunches. Or you can also integrate both.

5.Arm Exercises. To develop muscles on your arms will take a while. To add strength to your arms, you can try the triceps curl using dumbbells or the basic pushups for 3 sets of 8 counts. Other choices of routines are wrist curl on either seated or standing position, triceps kickback, biceps curl, French push and biceps-triceps combined curl.

6.Shoulder Exercises. Putting a barbell on your shoulder may be a good choice of routine but you’ll have to be careful on how much weight to carry on. Also, you can do the rotator cuff and back deltoid row, basic shoulder raise, shoulder rotation, and shoulder shrug.

All your body muscles are to be firmed up and strengthened to be able to carry on any high impact workout routine. You should be able to work on your back, legs, chest, abdomen, arms and shoulders.

Best Abdominal Exercise – Is There One?

To find the best abdominal exercise is a very tricky if not elusive topic.  You would probably think that finding one perfect exercise to flatten your abs would be simple.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.

When it comes to the topic of six-pack abs it seems that everybody has an answer about how to achieve the look you are striving to attain.  However, several factors come into play if you want to achieve sculpted abs.

First of all everybody has abdominal muscles.  Like most people, yours might be buried by a layer of belly blub.  This layer of fat poses your first problem.  You can do all the ab isolation exercises you want but until that layer of belly fat is dissolved you and nobody else will see them.

Secondly, your diet plays quite a large and important role in reducing and melting away that excess layer of fat on your belly and on other problem areas.  We all know that we should eat healthier foods but there is also some contention as to what foods are healthy.  I think for the sake of the length of this article we can safely say that we should stick to foods that are not prepackaged processed foods.  Try to eat more natural, organically raised and grown meat, fruits, nuts, vegetables, and whole grains.  The closer our food is to the state it would be growing in if it was grown or living without human intervention the better it will be for us.

The third factor that you have to consider is one that goes hand in hand with healthy eating which is exercise.  In order to lose your excess fat on your tummy and elsewhere you will need to boost your metabolism.  The easiest way to do this is by focusing in on your large muscle groups and working them.  Full body workout routines will help you to get started burning fat, increasing your metabolism, and gaining lean muscle mass.

If you can focus on your diet and full body workout routines the other factor, the belly fat will melt away.  Also full body routines will help to develop your core muscles so that when your body fat percentage is reduced to the single digit level you can then work on isolation exercises for your abs which by this time should be looking fine.

100 Abdominal Exercises, Why It Might Not Be Enough

100 Abdominal exercises might not be enough to give you the results that you are looking for.  You quite possibly could do tons of sit-ups, crunches, isolation exercises and when you look in the mirror your reflection might still be that of fit person with a Buddha belly.

You can develop the best abdominals that are genetically feasible and still possibly never see them.  I know that you probably don’t want to hear or maybe accept the fact that not every body is genetically predisposed to the washboard abs that the fitness marketing teams have conditioned many of us to strive for.

I really don’t understand nor agree with the image that the media portrays as the perfect body.  We are all have a different body and can achieve different levels of fitness depending on a bunch of factors.  One of those factors is our genetics.

If you have tried to achieve the perfect six-pack and have fallen short, don’t be too disappointed and give up.  There are a couple of things that might be holding you back.  The first is your overall body fat.

Even if you work out faithfully and feel fit, your abs will never be visible if a layer of fat covers them.  You will most likely need to lower your overall body fat level to around 8-10 percent and then you might not still have the look that you thought you would.

If you are healthy and fit but cannot seem to get the look that you desire, don’t obsess over it.  Be content knowing that you have a lean body that you fuel with nutritious foods.  If it were easy to achieve perfectly sculpted abs, we would have a society of people sporting sexy six-packs.
