Q&A: Got any strength training exercises for the mile?

Question by Chrissy D: Got any strength training exercises for the mile?
I need to improve my mile time in track, so I wanna work on strength. I already do push ups, sit ups, crunches, chin ups, lunges, planks, gluteal bridges, etc. I need some strength exercises that work for you guys that I might not have heard of.

Well they have these force oxygenate things that are about a hundred bucks, they can make you run farther without getting tired, then if you get a parachute.

Wow, you’ve already got a great program, strength training for the mile does not have to be excessive because it’s s distance race. A great way to build strength is to run really short hill sprints, like as hard as you can for up to 10-20 seconds, reapeat 5- 10 times. I have tried this and it helped me, I run a mile in the four forties.
