Ive been eating anywhere from 1500-2000 cals a day and exercising for nearly a month now. I used to eat a lot and today i ordered breakfast and found i got full after eating half the plate when i used to be able to finish it easy along with left overs from family.
Okay yah, no one needs over 2000 calories.

eventually, but you should eat more calories because with not the right amount your metabolism slows down and you wont loose weight but only about 2300 or 2400

I am just curious about it, lets say that all i eat is 3 protein shakes per day, one small light plate (salad with chicken, low fat cereal etc..), and a protein based energy bar. I am planning on exercising but I am just wondering if you lose weight with this diet? and also should I take the protein after exercising or before exercising, or just 3 times a day and do regular exercising at night (cardio, weight lifting etc..)

Without exercise all that protein is going to do is make you gain more weight.

You need to eat properly, exercise and forget suppliments if you plan on loosing weight.

If you want to gain weight you need to eat properly, exercise and probably look at some sort of protein suppliment to help with growth.

It’s a great exercise as it is explosive and involves pretty much every muscle. Just make sure you focus on your form. The clean is easy to injure yourself on if you’re not careful.

What Is Your Plate Size?

Want To Benefit Your Waistline? Monitor Your Plate Size

There are many, many, many rules and guidelines and suggestions in fitness and dieting these days, so many I could never begin to list them all. One rule, however, I think is simple, yet very important, portion size. We are told, that we need to watch how much food we put on our plate, and stick to the rule of avoiding the urge to go back for seconds.

Let’s take it back to the basics though, something very essential, that is very easily overlooked. Plate size. I know, sounds simple, but plate size can make all the difference in how much you consume at any single meal.

Findings on Thenondietermindset.com, show that plate size does truly matter when it comes to eating, because we usually tend to eat what we put on our plate. So instead of measuring food, as a diet would have you do, begin with changing your plates instead. Think about the total diameter of the plate including the rim or border, do not allow portions to reach outside of these diameters.

Our minds can play sly tricks on us but sometimes we can use these little tricks in our favor. If we fill the entire diameter of a 8 inch plate with food and eat all of it, we will feel satisfied, whereas if we fill only half of the diameter of a 12 inch plate, we will feel the need to go back and get more, as if we have been deprived in some way.

We are all bound to be put in situations that make it difficult to make the right food choices, but using some basic and simple reminders we may just be able to keep ourselves in check:

If you are heading somewhere you know there will be a lot of food and temptation (i.e. eat before you go to a party or grocery store. If you go on a full stomach your brain is able to make rational decisions about food. When snacking, portion your snack into a small bowl, you are more likely to consume large amounts if you take the whole bag. When dishing up for a meal, use a salad plate, as opposed to a dinner plate, this will help with portion control, and remember not to go back for more.

Drink water, avoid alcohol, soda or any sugary drink. Drink tea for flavor, which had been shown to promote a higher metabolism in studies.

Use daily opportunities to gain small bits of exercise, take the stairs rather than the elevator, park at the end of a parking lot and walk, or take a big step and ride your bike or walk to work.

The Bottom Line Taking all of the above into account, remember the basic rule. You will be amazed by how taking these few bits of advice, especially monitoring your plate size will make a dramatic difference in your weight loss goals.

Staying fit and dieting are not so easy to do, or not easy for most of us. You need to make yourself accontable and tell others of your plans to change your lifestyle. Consider using a personal trainer who will keep you on track with your exercise routine.

Grow Taller Exercises – The Impact That Exercise Has On Your Height

It sounds almost like a no-brainer: exercise, and grow taller. The benefits of exercising are many and varied, from reducing your body fat, to improving your cardio-vascular abilities, to reducing stress, and even helping you grow taller or at least maximize your genetic/natural height.

Exercising at an age when you can grow taller helps stimulate the release of HGH (Human Growth Hormone) while putting pressure on the growth plates in your legs that helps you increase your height. If accompanied with a proper diet, a solid exercise program can help you increase your height by a significant margin.

Traditionally, it has been thought that men grow up to the age of 18-20, while women maximize their growth by the age 16-18, after which it is believed that the growth plates fuse together, limiting the possibility of further growth. These traditional views, however, are being challenged by a plethora of new, exciting research that points that the growth plates don’t fuse together completely and that height can be increased further beyond the age 20 with the application of the proper techniques (i.e., exercise and diet).

Another source of growth beyond the stimulation of HGH/growth plates is micro-fractures. This technique is used extensively in height increase surgery to help patients grow taller. Through this technique, tiny fractures called ‘micro-fractures’ are induced in the bones. Usually, these micro-fractures happen every day in normal day-to-day activities and are healed almost immediately. However, if the bone is kept under stress after micro-fractures are induced, the fractures grow in size before healing up, which, over time, can add a significant few inches to your height. Activities such as heavy sprinting, squats with weights, and other intense cardio exercises such as kicking, jumping can induce micro-fractures in the bones.

Stretching, bicycling, swimming are other exercises that have been known to aid in height increase. For the sake of safety and effectiveness, it is advisable to exercise only as per a well laid out, tested regimen. Otherwise both the effects and benefits of the exercises may be limited.

Determining a dependable diet and exercise plan to lose weight has become harder and harder with so many diets available on the market today. There are really two things that are most important with any weight loss plan. The two ingredients to losing weight are, eating less and exercising more!

Your body burns calories throughout the day, but sometimes you eat additional calories than you burn, which leads to weight gain. By exercising as well as watching your calorie consumption, you will greatly help your body into losing weight.

The best way to commence a shrewd diet and exercise plan for weight loss is to keep a food diary. For a few days record what you have eaten. Then analyse these results, sit down and look at how much you are consuming during the course of one day. Eating to many calories will make you acquire weight, and the log you have kept will probably surprise you.

If you are consuming far too many calories a day, then the main thing you should do is cut this number by cutting at least 500 calories a day. If you stick to the decreased calorie consumption for a week you will at the very least have lost one pound. If you want to lose more than a pound then you can decrease your calorie intake further. The first steps are the hardest, but these easy and straightforward steps are a reason to carry on. Most of us eat snacks during the day, but never notice how many until we check that diary we kept. Stop thinking about unhealthy snacks like crisps, cookies, cheese and all the other bad snacks and replace with healthy options instead. You might be using 1000 calories each day, just on snacks!

Other easy ways to trim down on your calories are to eliminate any pre-packaged foods that you were previously using. Pre-packaged foods are well known for being high in chemicals, fats and calories. Build a habit of eating fruit and vegetables on a daily basis. Vegetables are great for a diet but some people don’t have time to shop every few days, so frozen is fine. Portion sizes are often a big issue with weight gain, so you need to cut the amount of food you plate up. Why not serve up on a smaller plate so it still looks like a full plate of food. A full plate is an amazing trick that works really well, as you still feel you have had a good meal.

Adding exercise to your daily routine doesn’t have to be a nightmare. Lots of people get put off by the suggestion of exercising at the local gym and also feeling mortified about it as well visiting a gym is not the only way! You must begin slowly if you haven’t exercised in a while. Just add a 10 minute walk to your day, even if it is just walking to the end of the street and back. You could time yourself and see how much quicker you get over time. Now step up the distances you walk, go to the local park or walk to a friend’s house that you would frequently use the car for. Any exercise is going to be beneficial. It is astonishing how quickly your body will adjust to this exercise and you can increase your daily workout regime.

Other straight forward exercises are swimming, dancing, cycling and stair climbing. Next time you are at the mall make a point of taking the stairs and not the lift. Any additional exercise is going to ultimately show up on the scale.

Any diet and exercise program for weight loss will work as these are the two primary ingredients, but it’s not as hard as you may have thought. There are more great resources available which offer everything from nutritional pointers to recipe ideas. Your weight loss journey needs to be interesting, so mix things up a bit and change your routine, but eat healthy and exercise, that’s the key.

Depends on the size of the plate icon wink how much calories is in a plate of rice? how much can u loose in a 30mins exercise?

A normal serving of uncooked rice is about 50g. That’s about 180 calories.

You can easily lose that by running for 30 mins, even at a slow jog. I run at 8mph on the treadmill, and in 30 mins that’d burn about 500 calories.
