At Home Workout – Shoulder Exercises With Dumbbells

When it comes to getting a complete upper body workout, it’s important not to neglect working your shoulders. It is recommended that you do shoulder exercises with dumbbells because they force you to use more muscle groups as opposed to just using elliptical machines or free weights. You can do this by doing the following shoulder exercises with dumbbells to help develop broader shoulders for a more well-rounded look:

1. Dumbbell Shoulder Press – The dumbbell shoulder press can be done in either a standing or seated position. Start with a dumbbell in each hand, resting just above your shoulders. Now press them straight up without locking the elbow. To complete the dumbbell shoulder press, slowly return the weights to their original position. Do 3 sets of 8-10 reps.

2. Dumbbell Shoulder Shrugs – To do dumbbell shoulder shrugs, start standing with a dumbbell in each hand, feet shoulder width apart. Lock your elbows, and raise the weights by making a shrugging motion. You should feel the strain in the tops of your shoulders, into your neck area. Do 3 sets of as many as you can.

3. Dumbbell Shoulder Extensions – To perform dumbbell shoulder extensions, start with a dumbbell in each hand, feet shoulder width apart. Now raise the dumbbells straight out in front of you until they are at the same height as your shoulders. Then slowly lower them back down. Then raise the dumbbells straight out to your sides until the weights are level again with your shoulders. To finish, slowly lower the dumbbells back down. Perform these shoulder exercises with dumbbells twice a week, progressively increasing the weight.

Remember that it is during your resting period that the muscle actually repairs itself and increases its size, so make sure not to overwork yourself. For more information regarding shoulder exercises, or a detailed outline on a complete upper body workout, check out Insightful Health and Fitness.

As withany dumbbell exercise, form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don’t use too much weight, if you can’t do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud “one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand” on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn’t have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts. 5 Reasons You Should Consider Doing A Power Plate Workout

Ever day-dream about how exactly you could potentially use a power plate workout to help you reach your weight loss and fitness goals? That thought is occurring to more and more people. Some have even taken action for making that happen. Most never get past the daydream stage. Sometimes it’s because they do not know how to get started. Other times it is because they are unsure as to whether it really works. Other times they forego doing it because they think it is not proper exercise.

Wait a minute! Are those really valid reasons? Did they actually examine the positive side? Did we evaluate the advantages for? The reasons in favor of? Before we let the negatives rule, the positives deserve a reasonable hearing. There are actually five reasons why you need to use a power plate workout which should maybe be examined.

First, you only need ten minutes for a workout. I understand fully your objection regarding that it is not a proper exercise. Certainly that is a valid objection. However you will need to consider that because of Newtons law of gravitation it is actually making your body work hard. In addition, consider that back in the 1970′s the Russians were helping their athletes improve their performance using these machines

Second, it will help you burn fat and lose weight. The chief reason behind that is because your muscles are working hard for you to keep balanced you are burning fat at the same time. As well as developing lean muscle tissue which boosts your resting metabolism, this in turn means you will be burning up fat when not using the machine.

Third, it helps to improve blood circulation. As well as lymphatic drainage and improving varicose veins!

Fourth, it can help increase bone density. This is why so many women that are post menopausal use it to help offset osteoporosis.

And Fifth, it helps to increase your serotonin and neutrophine levels (in layman’s terms makes you feel better about yourself).

When you go through the reasons and evaluate them, I expect that you will have to admit that a persuasive case can be made for thinking about why you should have a power plate workout.

Now, after all that, what do you say? Isn’t that info persuasive? What if you really could get all this from a ten minute power plate workout?

After you consider each of the reasons and evaluate them, you’ll have to admit that a very compelling case can be made for beginning to consider a power plate workout as the way forward to your weight loss and fitness goals.

Just consider it. Maybe, just maybe, you actually, in all seriousness, should start having a power plate workout.

Weight Training Exercises At Home – Workout Schedule For Building Muscle

Weight Training Exercises At Home

In such a article I am going to share amidst you my customized workout schedule for building muscle which had helped me to raise over 16 pounds of lean muscle mass in less as opposed to 12 weeks. It is a acutely effective two day body-split workout routine. The most ideal truth on this workout schedule is this the workouts are not too long, yet they’re highly effective.

Day 1, Monday – Chest and Triceps 1) Incline Bench Press – 4 Sets x 8-12 repetitions 2) Flat Bench Press – 4 sets 8-12 reperitions 3) Dumbbell Flyes – 4 sets x 12 repetitions 4) Skullcrushers – 4 sets x 12 repetitions 5) Tricep Pushdown – 4 sets x 12-15 repetitions Weight Training Exercises At Home

Day 2, Tuesday – Shoulders and Abs 1) Seated Dumbbell Press – 4 sets x 6-8 repetitions 2) Dumbbell Lateral Raise – 4 sets x 8-12 repetitions 3) Dumbbell Front Raise – 3 sets x 8 repetitions per hand 4) Various abdominal exercises for 20 minutes

Day 3, Thursday – Back and Biceps 1) Pull-ups – 3 sets x MAX. amount of repetitions 2) Bent-over Barbell Rows – 4 sets x 8-12 repetitions 3) Dumbbell Rows – 4 sets x 10-12 repetitions 4) Deadlifts – 4 sets x 6×8 repetitions 5) Preacher Curls – 4 sets x 12 repetitions 6) Alternating Dumbbell Curls – 3 sets x 6-8 repetitions per hand

Day 4, Friday – Legs 1) Barbell Squats – 4 sets x 8-12 repetitions 2) Leg Press – 4 sets x 12-15 repetitions 3) Leg Extensions – 4 sets x 12 repetitions 4) Lying Leg Curls – 4 sets x 8-12 repetitions As you can see using this workout schedule you only train one large muscle group per workout. For new lifters this kind of approach to training is very effective, because you don’t overtrain and large muscle groups get more time to recover.

This eventually leads to quicker progress and improved muscle gains. Also you should notice that almost every workout session starts from heavy pressing movements like the bench press, dumbbell press or squats. This is because these kinds of movements trigger the maximum release of anabolic hormones within your body which stimulate more muscle growth. www.passion4profession.net PRESENTS 8 Min Abs Workout, how to have six pack: this workout has been designed to specifically work on the abdominal area. It can be done by anyone who exercises regularly, both men and women. There are no particular requirements for this module; you just need to know how to do the various exercises properly. 3 Good reasons for doing this module: 1 – Working aerobically on your abdominal muscles for over 7 minutes stimulates the capillaries in this area. These in turn increase the blood flow. 2 – A greater blood flow means a greater flow of oxygen – and fat only burns in the presence of oxygen. 3 – Toned muscles need more calories (kcal) to stay active. Our organism tends to release these calories from the area nearest the muscle, in this case the waist area.

The Birdman said it best, “we over here hustlin’… we over here grindin’.” After 7 wonderful years at Montrose Christian, I am now the Head Strength & Conditioning coach for the Nike Elite DeMatha Catholic High School basketball program. Coach Mike Jones, his staff and the players have welcomed me with open arms. The players are an outstanding group of young men… and they work VERY hard! We are going for a league championship, city championship, and NATIONAL championship next season! This video is the full body strength workout I took the team through on my first full day of our off-season training. Exercises: front squat, elevated lunge, 1 legged SLDL, supine bridge, 1 arm row, 1 arm press, pull-up, alternating chest press, modified row, and a plate circuit (around the head, upright row, and curl & press). One player did a bench press with chain attachments. This is the 1st video of a 2-part series. Next week I will show the on-court workout I took the team through!
